ALPHA MINISTRY (www.alpha.org)
Alpha’s primary purpose is to lead seekers to an Encounter with
Jesus Christ and into a personal relationship with Him. Our secondary
purpose is to encourage growth in believers who have not stepped out
in the fullness of the Holy Spirit and all God has for them. Alpha
is for people just starting to think about Christianity as well as
Christians who desire growth, challenge and change in their lives!

AUDIO/VIDEO MINISTRY TEAM
The Audio/Video ministry assists in creating an atmosphere of worship
by which people can Encounter God.
AWANA (www.awana.org)
Our goal is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and to
train them to serve Him! AWANA is our Sunday night ministry to children
age 3 through 8th grade.
COMMUNION / OFFERING SERVERS
The purpose of our team of servers is to facilitate a worshipful experience
of God during the times of communion and offering.
COMMUNION PREPARATION MINISTRY
Service opportunities include preparing communion for the congregation
each Sunday one month out of the year as well as being available to
help with Sunday baptisms by laundering the baptismal robes and towels.
FUNERAL MINISTRY
The purpose of the Funeral Ministry is to show Christ to grieving families
through the provision of a funeral dinner.
GOD’S STOREHOUSE
The purpose of God’s storehouse is to show the Love of God by
caring for the physical needs of others through providing groceries
for meals. Ministry opportunities include providing, collecting
or organizing food for the pantry.
HOSPITALITY TEAM
The purpose of the Hospitality Team is live out our love for the Lord
in practical ways by providing meals to those in need.
INFORMATION CENTER
Our information center plays a key role in the church’s outreach
to guests on Sunday morning. Those involved in this ministry
will make our guests feel informed by providing timely resources and
information about our church.
LIBRARY MINISTRY
The responsibility of the Library Ministry is to promote the use of
our library among all ages; plan, organize and oversee general upkeep;
purchase new materials, books, etc.; control and display all literature
in the display racks.
MISSIONS MINISTRY
The purpose of the Missions Team is to educate and inform the congregation
of the ministries we support and to encourage the carrying out of the
Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). Our goal is to see Roxbury “doing” missions,
not just supporting missions, here and around the world.
NURSING HOME MINISTRY
This ministry provides a church service twice a month (2nd & 4th
Tuesdays, from 3:00-4:30 pm) for the residents at Rock Haven. Volunteers
will help take residents to the day room, participate in the service
by singing or reading scripture, and return them to their room.
PRAISE TEAM
The purpose of the Praise Team is to engage the hearts of people who
sit in the sanctuary and to lead them into a time where they can connect
and communicate with God. By providing these Sunday moments we
pray that the people of Roxbury Road will come to know that God is
here and to expect that God will move!
PRAYER CHAIN MINISTRY
Our prayer chain is a group of prayer warriors who are dedicated to
praying for and disbursing of prayer requests and praises within the
family of God here at Roxbury Road.
PROPERTY MINISTRY
This ministry supervises all maintenance and repairs to the church
facility as well as upkeep of lawn and grounds.
SHAPING U TEAM
The goal of Shaping U is embedded in its name: providing opportunities
and environments where believers of every age and season in life may
be helped to grow in the “shape” or likeness of Jesus Christ. Shaping
U is currently divided into three departments: Adult, Youth & Children,
and Small Group Ministries (Home Bible Fellowships).
STEWARDSHIP TEAM
The purpose of this team is to be wise, trustworthy, and faithful in
using the monies, talents and resources entrusted to God at Roxbury. Our
desire is to make the most of every opportunity to enable others to
spread God’s Word and the Good News about Jesus Christ. Matthew

TAPE/CD MINISTRY
The purpose of the tape ministry is to provide quality sound recordings
for Encountering and Interacting with the Word.
USHER/ GREETERS MINISTRY
Our ushers and greeters encourage a welcoming and meaningful worship
experience to all present. A smiling face, a warm handshake,
and a friendly greeting make people feel welcome and provide a quick
information reference for first-time guests.
VAN MINISTRY
Our van drivers perform a significant ministry to those in need of
a ride to worship services. It is the responsibility of the Van Drivers
to drive the van on the Sunday they are scheduled for morning services
of that day.
YOUTH MINISTRY
Our Youth Ministry (Junior and Senior High) is an on-fire group of
young believers that meets on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. Everything
from Bibles studies, to service projects and Fun Times encompass
this wide ranging ministry.
