Shaping U
The
goal of Shaping U is embedded in its name: providing opportunities
and environments where believers of every age and season in life may
be helped to grow in the “shape” or
likeness of Jesus Christ. Shaping U is currently divided into
three departments: Adult, Youth & Children, and Small Group Ministries
(Home Bible Fellowships).
Our mission is to encourage every believer to:
- PRAY making connection with God “the first thing, the last thing and everything in between”.
- ENCOUNTER the living Christ and to help others do the same.
- INTERACT with Him through intentional study, prayer and relationship with others. “Small communities” (groups) are vital for personal growth as a place to belong, link arms and genuinely care for one another.
- LIVE like Christ at home and with our neighbors, finding our unique way to serve.

Shaping U Adults
Various courses are offered on Sunday morning (9:45AM) throughout
the church facilities to encourage and strengthen spiritual growth. Classes
are customized to serve newcomers to faith as well as mature Christians
and include topical studies and books of the Bible studies.

Roxbury Road provides excellent opportunities
for couples to learn and grow together. Shaping U classes,
small group studies and Roxbury-sponsored seminars have all

Shaping U Youth
Junior and Senior High Youth meet on Sunday mornings, and the Senior High again on Wednesday nights, in an informal atmosphere to discuss and apply the Word of God to current topics and issues.
Shaping U Children’s
Our Sunday morning Children’s ministry provides children with
classes that will impress on them who Jesus is and why they need to
give their life to Him (ENCOUNTER), show them how to apply Bible knowledge
to their life and to build relationships with others (INTEREACT), and
encourage them to share faith and love outside of the church (LIVE).

Shaping U Small Groups
Many small groups including our Home Bible Fellowships (HBFs) meet
in various people’s homes throughout the week to study scripture,
grow real friendships, and encourage each other during the week. We
believe everyone needs a group!
Shaping U AWANA
The goal of AWANA is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ
and to train them to serve Him! AWANA is an exciting and growing ministry to kids age 4 through 12th grade.
