Qualifications for Lead Pastor:
- Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and model a lifestyle consistent with Christian faith.
- Must be an immersed believer and a supporting member of Roxbury Church of Christ.
- Must have a passion for making disciples who can make disciples.
- Must highly value relational/team ministry... with staff, elders, teams and Life Group.
- Must demonstrate a passion for preaching/teaching ministry.
- Must facilitate a Life Group.
- Should possess Bible College degree; preferably a Master’s level seminary degree.
- Should have a minimum of five years of proven ministry experience.

Champion and model the vision of making disciples who can make disciples at Roxbury and beyond.
General Responsibilities:
- Find joy in serving Jesus
- Faithfully maintain personal and professional spiritual development
- Pray in the Spirit, on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests...(Ephesians 6:18)
- Facilitate a Life Group and model disciple-making there and within own family.
- Work cohesively with staff and Elders toward realizing God’s vision for Roxbury.
- With Elders, Discipleship Pastor, staff and DSL team, pray for and lead a DiscipleSHIFT at Roxbury.
- Maintain information flow through office manager and communication outlets
Specific Responsibilities:
- Provide directional and visionary leadership with staff, eldership, and congregation.
- Faithfully fulfill calling as a preacher and teacher of God’s Word.
- Provide oversight with Praise Ministry and Weekend services.
- Provide pastoral care to Life Group and beyond (including funerals, weddings, etc.).
- Manage appropriate ministry’s budget.
- Prepare annual ministry plan
Working Relationships
- Responsible to the Elders, reporting to and working alongside their leadership. Responsible for team ministry with staff and key volunteers.
