Full-Time Student Pastor.

Job Description

 

Core Value Responsibility:

Champion and model the vision of making disciples who can make disciples in the context of Student ministry. He or she will have the opportunity to mentor and encourage a team of Student Ministry volunteers.  He or she will also help equip parents to disciple their children.

The person we are seeking would:

  • be a godly person of integrity
  • take the Bible as their authority in matters of faith and life
  • have a love for young people
  • have experience working with students in today’s culture
  • have a relational approach to ministry
  • share our disciple making vision
  • be real, transparent, and genuine

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Student Ministry (grade 6 - college) including biblical teaching, special events, and parent engagement
  • Model disciple-making within the context of a Life Group and Student Ministry
  • Recruit, apprentice, mobilize and pray for student ministry volunteers
  • Model and encourage engagement with student’s lives outside of church activities
  • Maintain information flow through office manager and communication outlets, including but not limited to social media platforms.
  • Manage student ministry’s budget
  • Partner with Lead Pastor for occasional preaching opportunities
  • Faithfully maintain personal and professional spiritual development
  • Find joy in serving Jesus
  • Pray in the Spirit, on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests...(Ephesians 6:18)

 

Working Relationships

  • Responsible to the Lead Pastor and the Elders but reporting to the Lead Pastor.  
  • Working relationship with Children’s Ministry Director.
  • Responsible for team ministry with other staff and key volunteers.
